The Role:
The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist provides expert advice for the configuration and functional use of the Learning Suite of Auto & General’s LMS, Cornerstone. Reporting to the Manager, Learning & Development, and working closely with the People Systems team, the LMS Specialist is an integral member of the Learning & Development team.

This position is responsible for the support, design, development, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of system resources used for all learning functions at Auto & General. As the primary system administrator for the LMS and integrated tools, the successful candidate will support all system updates and will consult with and provide advice and guidance to functional users of Insight, to meet business needs.

Position Accountabilities

Provide specialist advice and support for the design, configuration and functional use of the Learning Suite of Auto & General’s Learning Management System (LMS), Cornerstone
Consult with functional users of Cornerstone to provide process and system solutions to meet business needs, including events & sessions management, user learning record management, learning materials, surveys and objects;
Document system changes and regularly consult with the People Systems team in relation to system governance, testing of Cornerstone quarterly releases impacts and new system functionalities, user administration and business reporting;
Document and maintain procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks;
Maintain accurate training records in the LMS to ensure compliance with industry standards and requirements;
Identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements;
Act as an internal consultant by analysing data and recommending solutions to utilise the LMS to deliver and track training, and measure performance to meet business objectives;
Serve as the point of escalation for support issues, including escalation of issues to the People Systems team, and testing of resolutions as provided by vendor support services;
Work with the instructional technologist and instructional designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content.

Knowledge and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will pride yourself on your continuous improvement mindset and ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues, whilst ensuring the LMS meets the needs of the business and the company’s long terms success.

3 years’ experience in managing Learning Management Systems (such as Cornerstone Learning Suite);
Technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems, with the ability to troubleshoot any technical issues;
Experience in testing and documenting system changes and supporting processes;
Demonstrated experience and understanding of best practice Learning & Development fundamentals;
Strong communicator, advisor, and negotiator, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms;
Strong customer service experience, stakeholder engagement, project coordination and communication skills;
Experience in leading, overseeing or managing team member workload, and / or coaching team members;
Demonstrable experience in use of data recording and record keeping best practice;
Previous knowledge of competency, operational and technical based training;
Ability to juggle numerous priorities and be flexible to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
