About the role

As the Human Resources Advisor , reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will partner with key stakeholders and managers to deliver generalist HR advice, support and services to the Curragh North Project.

The primary functions of this role will see you:
Provide advice, training, coaching and support to managers ensuring they are informed of their obligations when managing HR and IR issues.

Provide expertise regarding performance appraisals, disciplinary procedures, disputes and dismissals

Support the wider Queensland HR team in the delivery of all aspects of HR and IR activities for the Project

Support in the development, implementation and maintenance of effective people strategies and initiatives

Implementation of HR policies and procedures throughout the organisation

Promote a values-based approach to HR at Curragh North.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys a varied workday, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a rewarding and engaging role.

About you

We are ideally seeking candidates with the following:
Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or a related field

Human resources experience in a mining or heavy industry environment

Strong computer skills including an advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office package

High level of oral and written communication skills

Sound knowledge of current employment and workplace legislation and regulations as well as contemporary human resource practices, policies and trends.

Proven ability to build strong professional relationships quickly, and use influence positively

Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.

Effective problem-solving skills

5/2 Roster - Monday to Friday roster with monthly RDO’s

Accommodation and meals provided

The Curragh North project is situated 20kms from Blackwater in Central Queensland
