About the role

The Recruitment and Onboarding Manager is responsible for our recruitment and onboarding processes. It involves managing our recruitment processes and activities to ensure we hire qualified, experienced, competent and engaged employees to meet our company’s current and future needs in addition to delivering an outstanding onboarding experience. This role will focus on positioning a positive employer brand with prospective employees that aligns with Wesley Mission Queensland culture, mission and values.

Key responsibilities include:
Align one’s workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission Queensland’s Vision, Mission and Values.
Build and implement best practice sourcing, selection and networking strategies to recruit in a cost effective and efficient manner.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process with managers. Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and candidates.
Work with the Employee Experience team to develop a recruitment and onboarding process that aligns with WMQ’s diversity and inclusion initiatives
Build and maintain relationships with external groups, including RTO’s, universities and high schools, attend networking events and career fairs.
Proactively conduct strategic search activities for key positions in the business.
Undertake workforce planning and recruitment planning in conjunction with directors and managers to assess current and forecasted recruitment needs.
Develop, monitor and enhance recruitment metrics (e.g. time-to-hire and cost-per-hire). Prepare and deliver regular reports.
Advise hiring managers and interview teams on interviewing techniques and recruitment best practices.
Work with the broader Employee Experience team and recommend ways to improve our employee experience and employer brand.
Stay up-to-date on labour legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations.
Build the WMQ’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges and other partners.
Oversee new hire onboarding process, to ensure selected candidates can be job ready on Day 1 of their employment.
Lead a recruitment and onboarding team that meet or exceed internal customer expectations.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree Human Resources/Business Management or related discipline.
Proven experience in a senior recruitment role, preferably in the community services and aged care sector.
Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong analytical abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating with diverse audiences.
Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive during work.
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
A high degree of professionalism and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Proven learning agility and ability to operate in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
Ability to easily adjust to change.
A high degree of comfort and demonstrated proficiency with technology.
