We’re seeking an extraordinary individual to join our Management Consulting as the National Resource Manager based in Sydney or Melbourne. You’ll lead team of 10 experienced Resource Managers and Co-ordinators. You’ll work collaboratively to achieve the best results for your Stakeholders and our Clients. As our Management Consulting Division is the fastest growing and most diverse Division at KPMG, you’ll work with interesting people and be immersed in a dynamic environment - no two days will feel the same!
Your Opportunity
As the National Resource Manager you will support the Management Consulting (MC) division of KPMG by playing an integral part in the ongoing development of Resource Management across the firm. The underlying purpose of this role is to drive efficient and effective use of MC internal resources to optimise productivity and profitability for the division as well as for KPMG overall. You will be accountable for developing and executing effective resource management strategies for all service lines in MC which will incorporate

  • Cascading Resource Management principles and promoting the value in good Resource Management to the business;
  • Developing resource contingency plans for pipeline engagements and identification and resolution of resourcing conflicts by negotiating positive outcomes;
  • Developing and refining processes to meet changing business requirements and to drive continuous improvement across MC and support the standardisation of Resource Management across the Firm.
  • Contributing to effective management of labour costs;
  • Providing analysis and insights on resource metrics;
  • Supporting the execution of MC strategies and associated initiatives; and
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to build a knowledge-base of skill sets and career development needs, and to identify skills shortages.

  • Previous Resource Management, Workforce Planning experience in a fast-moving professional service, consulting or project based environment;

  • A high level of organisation, and the ability to multi-task and analyse information; and
