OFFICER – HUMAN RESOURCES

An exciting opportunity has made itself available within Ambulance Victoria (AV). We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Officer – Human Resources who can provide, timely, high-quality administration and support services.


About the role

This full time, ongoing opportunity is based out of our Doncaster or Ballarat office and is responsible for the provision of consistent and credible people services supporting AV's operational success and employee experience. Initially this may involve a combination of working from home and onsite.

The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support, guidance, analysis and advice on People & Culture policies, practices and relevant legislation
  • Providing HR Services across the entire employee life cycle, ensuring initial advice, service and referral is completed efficiently
  • Working collaboratively with People and Culture Advisors to assist with Workforce Planning, Recruitment and Selection Processes
  • Producing accurate, high quality written communication

About you

To succeed in this role, you will be a credible activist who works collaboratively to support a safe, capable, accountable and engaged workforce through the provision of consistent and credible people services which support AV's operational success and employee experience.

To be considered for this position you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Officer position, preferably across the public sector
  • Ability to work within a small dynamic team environment.
  • A strong working knowledge and application of HR practices, regulations and legislation.
  • Highly proficient use of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Required to possess a current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Willingness to travel throughout Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria as required

While tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or a related discipline, is preferred, it is not essential.

The successful candidate will have a current Victorian Driver's License and will, if required, travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. AV has introduced salary bands and this position is graded at AV3. The AV grade salary range for an AV3 position is $77,620 to $91,853 plus 9.5% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade applicable to a position.
