About the role

The HR Advisor is responsible for delivering professional, efficient, customer focused Human Resource services to Latrobe City Council managers and staff.

The role involves providing high level proactive advice, support and assistance to internal clients on a range of human resource functions. These include: HR policies and procedures; industrial and employee relations; Enterprise Agreement and Award interpretation; performance management, counselling and disciplinary issues; job design, evaluation, analysis and review; position description classification and bandings; organisational reviews; staff recruitment, transitions, variations, cessation; employee assistance program; monitoring and production of relevant HR reports and metrics using Council's Human Resource Information System (HRIS).

To be successful in this role you will have high level understanding of employment relations principles, negotiation and problem solving skills, and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to a wide stakeholder group.
