The Role

The Human Resource (HR) Services Branch of the PTA is looking for an experienced, motivated and hardworking HR practitioner to fill the role of HR Consultant. This is a hands on role and you will be managing all aspects of recruitment and related matters as part of the end-to-end employee life-cycle.

We are looking for someone who has a strong customer focus in the delivery of practical HR consultancy and advisory support services to executive, managers and employees alike, on a diverse range of matters. Working in a highly operational branch, the successful individual must work well within a close team environment, be task focussed, meet deadlines and achieve expected outcomes. This role is ideal for an individual looking to utilise their skills working across all divisions within the PTA.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Considerable experience in generalist human resource management,
  • Strong recruitment skills along with the ability to manage grievances, performance management and employee relations type matters,
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business improvements and undertake project activities, and
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare business cases, recruitment/classification reports and a range of written documentation.

There is currently one permanent position available, however other applicants found suitable may be offered opportunities as they arise over the coming twelve (12) months.
