Position Summary:
Reporting to the VR&P team leader, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting strong client and stakeholder relationships to foster effective Recruitment practices providing advice on recruitment, the VPS Agreement, policy interpretation. Experience with the Springboard recruitment application is desirable.
To be successful in this role the incumbent will be a positive and supportive team player with an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. They will recommend excellent recruitment outcomes through Recruitment documentation and apply Recruitment processes and systems to proactively contribute to the ongoing review, development, and evaluation of the department's Recruitment function to achieve effective, high-quality outcomes.
The successful applicant will enjoy consulting with customers and stakeholders to deliver best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on Recruitment policies, practices and general HR queries.
  • Create and maintain sound working relationships, provide authoritative and timely advice and take follow up action as required.
  • Support the preparation of routine Recruitment documentation (such as job advertisements, Selection Reports, Reference Checks) and apply Recruitment processes and systems to proactively contribute to the ongoing review, development, and evaluation of the department's Recruitment function to achieve effective, high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of a high quality, internal transfer and recruitment function including: role design, advertising, shortlisting, interview and selection, as well as applicant and client feedback.
  • Provide recruitment services to the Covid-19 response functions across Public Health including rapid sourcing for emergency needs and large volume cohorts.
  • Provide volume recruitment and project services and support to roles outside of the Public Health division including but not limited to Mental Health, Gender Equality and Executive Recruitment.
  • Provide quality support to the HR Department to ensure all employee records and changes to employment arrangements are correctly applied for, actioned within required timelines and recorded accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to maintain the integrity of the department's organisational structure and staffing establishment through the department's human resources management system (SAP).
  • Ensure best practice measures are being applied to the recruitment process, based on applicable policy documents.
  • Participate in self - development to ensure the Recruitment and HR skills and knowledge levels within Recruitment Services are of a high standard.
  • Support recruitment activities, ensuring hiring managers are supported and are provided with advice throughout the recruitment, selection and on boarding processes.
  • Identify and collaborate on the development and implementation of new and changed strategies and practices, to improve the quality of people services outcomes across the department as required.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
