About the Opportunity

In this fast paced, influential role you will provide strategic and operational guidance, advice and support in relation to employee, employment and industrial matters across various areas of a diverse business. You will build the capability of our leaders at all levels to support and develop our workforce to ensure performance and delivery. 

You will collaborate with all levels of leadership and employees across our organisation and be a ‘go to person’ on HR matters. Our business is diverse and so are our workforce needs, therefore, you will need to be agile in your approach to support our people and our organisation. You could be working with people in our libraries, aquatics, golf, policy, sustainability, property development, commercial, the Adelaide Central Market, and many other areas.

As we grow and continue to recover from the impacts of covid-19, this is an exciting opportunity to join a committed team and play a pivotal role in supporting a reimagined business. This is a great opportunity to provide key advice to our people to enable them to deliver for our City.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated Business Partnering experience across varied stakeholder groups
  • Sound experience in providing strategic advice and solutions on a range of complex HR and ER matters based upon your strong understanding of employment law and ability to interpret Awards & Enterprise Agreements .
  • Demonstrated consulting and relationship management experience at all levels
  • Ability to ascertain and understand customer needs and utilising this information to determine an appropriate course of action, building on the ideas of others
  • Ability to act as a “Change Champion” and have the ability to effectively communicate with and influence others towards acceptance and understanding of change programs
