The Opportunity

Fulton Hogan Utilities has an exciting permanent full time opportunity to join our People and Culture team in Adelaide. We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Training Advisor.

You will have the ability to build strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders whilst working collaboratively across a diverse and complex environment. You will be responsible for

  • Demonstrating genuine passion for employee personal and professional development
  • Support National L&D team with the development and implementation of training programs
  • In collaboration with the HR and Operations, develop a training and development strategy
  • Engage in the development and maintenance of training courses and e-learning modules
  • Contribute and maintain competency profiles and develop training needs analysis
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve workforce participation targets
  • Engagement and coordination of trainees and apprentices
  • Support the implementation of the graduate program
  • Develop strong knowledge in the use of Fulton Hogan learning systems
  • Build reporting capability to support business operations
  • Coordinating and facilitating training courses
  • Build a strong network of training providers
  • Maximise opportunity to gain government funding to support training and development
  • Developing rapport and effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

What we need from you

High-level communication ability is essential, with verbal, written and interpersonal skills integral to success in this role. Ideal applicants will need to demonstrate relationship management strengths as a collaborative team player with clear evidence of ability to build successful stakeholder relationships.

In addition, our ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Experience in a regulated training environment and understanding of technical training deliverables
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management systems and tools
  • Strong systems and reporting capability
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent preferred
  • Background in a similar role within construction preferred
  • Knowledge of WHS
  • Affinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to 'real world' project delivery environments
  • Knowledge of government funding for training an advantage

This role will be based at Fulton Hogan Utilities head office being a newly established and modern facility, located on Fullarton Road.
