Tabcorp Park Melton is the home of harness racing in Victoria. Operating 7 days a week our venue comprises a sports bar & TAB, gaming lounge, 4 Star hotel, dining facilities and function rooms. We are more than just a racing venue, we aim to be best trotting, hospitality and entertainment venue.


The opportunity

Working in a true partnership style and reporting to the General Manager - Tabcorp Park, you will provide comprehensive and effective people related support, advice, and solutions across the entire HR lifecycle.


Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage all recruitment, resourcing, induction and onboarding activity.
  • Partner with managers to provide effective advice and support on performance management.
  • Provide general HR advisory and support with regards to broader people topics, staff welfare and employment relations issues.
  • Assist in the review, creation and streamlining of HR processes and procedures, including the roll out of a new Employment Hero time and attendance system and HRIS;
  • Coordinate training and development requirements and programs.
  • Manage the end-to-end fortnightly payroll function.
  • Maintain administration files and information
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of HR projects; and
  • Promote a culture of best practice and continuous improvement.


About you

You will be comfortable in a hardworking, fast paced environment and enjoy working with a high degree of autonomy.

Specifically, we are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR or a related field;
  • 4+ years' experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within hospitality or events management;
  • Experience in HR systems; (Employment Hero, CI Anywhere, Springboard, Litmos)
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of employment legislation, compliance and best practice;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills; and ability to work as part of a dynamic and cohesive management team
  • A positive attitude and strong business partnering skills.
