Learning Delivery Lead, Claims

As our Learning Delivery Lead within our busy Claims team, you will be a key member of the Claims L&D management team, responsible for leading a team of learning professionals.

You will ensure effective delivery of learning solutions to uplift our peoples' capability. you will also be responsible for leveraging high impact stakeholder partnerships and L&D expertise to deliver high-quality organisational learning to meet the needs of our people, aligned to the TAL business strategy and TAL capability framework. The role provides exceptional capability to bring TAL’s training solutions to life and to ensure that members of the TAL Claims teams (Group & Individual Life) and key partners within the wider business receive adequate support to enable them to fully contribute to the team’s success.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Leading the Claims Learning Delivery team to deliver learning solutions to support the TAL Claims Learning strategy.
  • Coaching and mentoring the team to strengthen stakeholder partnerships and continuously uplift facilitation and L&D capability.
  • Engaging with wider learning communities to benchmark and adopt learning capability standards for the TAL Claims L&D team.
  • Consulting with leaders, subject matter experts and working groups to ensure technically sound program delivery.
  • Internal development and external sourcing of learning solutions to deliver technical training programs in line with business requirements.
  • Lead and enhance TAL Claims Onboarding and Claims Academy programs to achieve speed to competence and exceptional learning experiences for our people.
  • Managing the L&D measurement & evaluation framework, team processes and procedures and broader L&D governance; supporting operational effectiveness and purposeful learning solutions.
  • Administer and manage TAL's Learning Management System (LMS) to support efficient functional operations, business outcomes and deliver on legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Delivering learning programmes (including train the trainer and masterclass sessions) to audiences across the TAL business, and the L&D team.
  • Evaluating effectiveness and ensuring alignment of learning solutions to the Quality Assurance and industry accreditation frameworks.
  • Managing and delivering mid-scale projects and to improve service to Claims. Act as a key resource in large scale projects.
What are we looking for?

  • At least 5+ years’ experience working in a learning and development leadership role within the Financial Services Industry
  • Advanced capability in facilitation and a strong understanding of adult learning principals.
  • Experience in managing and coaching learning professionals
  • Desirable; certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Tertiary qualifications in Education
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant regulatory and legal obligations impacting the Financial Service Industry.
