We are looking for a human resources and recruitment gun to join our team! This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of our human resources strategy in collaboration with our senior leadership team. Reporting to our Director-Operations, you will have the autonomy to craft our people management and recruitment processes. This is both a top level and hands-on role with responsibility for direction of recruitment and retention for new and existing talent.

This role will see you supporting our team in driving success through our people across all aspects of the business. This role will see you further develop your HR career and gain exposure across all aspects of HR through the administration and coordination of our critical processes across the employee life cycle.

What will you be doing?

  • Life cycle management of hiring from recruiting talent, building talent pools, advertising, interviewing, negotiating and securing new talent.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, working on many roles at any one time. 
  • Ownership of the talent retention strategy including evaluation of initiatives, benefits and culture across the business to both attract and retain talent.
  • Liaise with external providers as required for matters relating to employment law and payroll.
  • Management of HR documentation and files including maintenance of employees' records to ensure the integrity of all employee data.
  • Onboarding and offboarding including induction, exit interviews and associated administration.
  • Participating in performance management, resource planning and employee development.
  • Drive and promote employee experience enhancement to ensure we get the most out of our people and they get the most out of Generation-e.
  • Mentoring our managers to ensure they understand their requirements and obligations.
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of HR initiatives to support an inclusive, collaborative, diverse and high performing culture.
  • Work with team leads to develop and execute training plans for their staff. Rolling out training programs and ensuring efficient staff participation including the coordination and booking of training.. Ensuring compliance to requirements for training is met.
  • Satisfaction surveys & feedback sessions then providing insights and recommendations.
  • Participating in the resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Proactively source key talent and grow a talent pool for potential new recruits.
  • Coordinate team social events 
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Assist with the production of reports on general HR activity
  • Management and issuing of employment agreements and movements
  • Continuously improve Human Resources document templates to ensure they are up to date and appropriate for business use
  • Undertaking Ad-hoc HR related projects

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law or other related fields or substantial equivalent experience background in a previous HR coordinator role.
  • Knowledge of and experience in interpreting and working with industrial instruments (Awards/Agreements) would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritise your work. 2+ years’ experience in human resources or related field is preferred (preferably in a professional services environment).
  • Strong customer service focus, with good problem-solving skills and a commitment to achieving quality outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the tenacity to navigate through ambiguity to deliver results.
  • Self-motivated with a strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. a curious, growth mindset and a strong willingness to learn
  • High emotional intelligence and a drive to delivering outcomes for our people and business.
  • Be analytical with a data driven perspective.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with great written and oral communication.
  • A passion for people and being involved with initiatives that make a difference.
  • Understanding of the recruitment process and lifecycle.
  • Ability to identify business challenges and potential solutions.
  • Prior experience in internal recruitment highly regarded.
  • Proactive in developing talent and HR strategy/processes and procedures
  • Current police check.
  • Working knowledge of Seek, Indeed and LinkedIn recruiting tools
