The Opportunity

As one of our close knit team member is going on maternity leave, we are on the hunt for an ambitious, resilient and highly motivated Talent Acquisition professional to join our dynamic and diverse team in a 12 month fixed term position.

As a seasoned Talent Acquisition Specialist you will be accountable for ensuring the Visy Talent Acquisition function is best in class, recruiting only the highest quality employees into the business across SA, WA and VIC.

In this role you’ll get to work on a wide and diverse range of corporate roles partnering closely with a variety of stakeholders from sites through to EGM level. This is fantastic opportunity that will challenge you and allow for further professional growth.

You will thrive in this fast paced role that allows for autonomy and proactive approaches whilst working collaboratively with the wider Visy HR team.

The Role

Based at our shared services office in Essendon and reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Providing support and advice to Hiring Managers and other stakeholders as required
  • Sourcing, screening and assessing potential applicants against identified competency requirements
  • Scheduling and interviews and all pre-employment checks (Right to Work, Medical, Probity) as required
  • Facilitating offer processes and ensuring all required on boarding processes and documents are completed
  • Undertaking regular checks with new employees ensuring early issues are identified and employee and manager satisfaction
  • Understanding of current and future talent maps to ensure proactive sourcing and talent pooling where possible

What we are looking for in YOU:

  • Exceptional attitude and great team spirit
  • Solid background in Talent Acquisition, end to end recruitment in either an internal or agency environment across multiple disciplines
  • Good experience in developing strategic sourcing solutions and building proactive talent pipelines
  • Ability to develop strategic relationships with hiring managers and leadership teams
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to manage multiple recruitment projects across a large geography will critical to success in this role
