JOB DESCRIPTION

Our reputable global client within the chemical/ agricultural industry is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Officer for an immediate start.

To be considered for this role you must possess the following skills;

  • Analyse safety metrics and review incident trends to rationale allocation of training and awareness programs to manage emerging risk.
  • Perform site audits against the WHS requirements, and partner with the business to develop solutions to complex and challenging issues that arise through this activity.
  • Champion the company EHS Consultative Committee, guide and support the representatives to facilitate and model safety conversations within their teams.
  • Lead in investigating incidents and accidents using the ICAM methodology and managing the process for appropriate corrective actions.
  • Assisting key stakeholders to review and implement appropriate hazard identification programs in the form of operational risk assessments and overarching risk registers.
  • Support of the development of training material for internal staff to foster understanding and ownership of individual EHS responsibilities.
  • or the implementation of the Responsible Care Programs including EHS standards, directives and guidelines.
Tertiary level Safety and Environmental qualification
  • Internal auditor qualification
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Chemical and or Engineering industries experience preferred
