In this role you will carry out Human Resources related activities including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, and employee relations initiatives.

What will I be doing?
As a Human Resources Advisor, you will support all Human Resources Team Member related activities. This varied and busy role will provide you with exposure to all aspects of HR including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, employee relations, health and safety, and other team-based activities. Specifically, a Human Resources Advisor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Initiate recruitment activities using Taleo.
  • Assist in the recruitment of team members, team leader and supervisor job functions for the hotel and cluster teams
  • Serves as the point of contact for Team Member issues
  • Act as a point of contact and provide support and advise to Supervisors and Managers in relation to Hotel policies and procedures
  • Facilitate New Team Member Orientation and onboarding activities
  • Coordinate brand standard e-learning activities for new and exisiting team members
  • Key driver of the Blue Energy culture in the hotel and member of the Blue Energy Committee
  • Maintain team member records
  • HR administration and some payroll related activities
  • Supports the Hotel team to oversee Workplace Health & Safety
  • Support Human Resources activities, including onboarding, work experience program, careers fairs, training materials, and Team Member opinion surveys
  • Keep current with employment law, human resources policies, and training requirements
  • Assist in determining training requirements and support training initiatives
  • Assist in the organisation of Team Member social events

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • HR Diploma (or greater) qualified or working towards qualification, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of hospitality

  • Good knowledge of employment law and employee relations

  • IT proficiency
