About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Coordinator who is passionate about people and committed to building a culture of inclusiveness where everyone is supported to reach their full potential. Join our in-house People & Culture team of four in our Global Head Office in Northgate, Brisbane.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager People & Culture, your main responsibility will include:

  • Develop and facilitate Apollo's onboarding processes to ensure a great start and positive experience for new employees.
  • Advise managers on ER/IR matters.
  • Undertake counselling and disciplinary meetings with managers and assist with performance management processes.
  • Facilitate training and manage Apollo's GO1 portal.
  • Perform general HR administration duties and provide administration support as required.

Your Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of two years practical experience in a Generalist HR role.
  • Learning and Development experience, including training needs analysis, development of training content, delivery of training etc. preferably in a manufacturing and/or retail environment.
  • Advanced computer skills, esp. MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Solid problem solving, organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy.

Your Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Bachelor or diploma level qualifications in HR
  • Certificate IV in training and assessment or similar highly regarded
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Australian legislative HR framework (Awards, NES, Fair Work Act, WHS legislation etc.)
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
