This organisations main focus is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their number one asset….their people. They want their people to go home to their families every day, without harm. In this role you will be responsible for leading the way to challenge behaviours and influence the business on proactive best practices for safety.

Reporting to the WHS Manager the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Identify, develop and implement a safety and wellness strategy to enhance the safety of employees;
  • Undertake health and safety investigations and inspection processes and ensure outcomes are acted upon;
  • Conduct risk assessments on the manufacturing site;
  • Educate line managers and supervisors regarding their role and responsibilities in ensuring the safety of their employees;
  • Driving and maintaining a positive safety culture across the organisation; and
  • Stay abreast of trends and innovations in the field of safety, injury management and workers’ compensation and keeping up to date on legislative and regulatory issues at the State and Federal level.

I am seeking an energetic, driven and approachable individual with experience in a manufacturing environment, coupled with a solid background working as an accomplished safety advisor. You will be highly self-motivated with a proven track record of WHS success and be committed to positively driving a safety culture through exceptional planning, communication, influencing and partnering skills.
