More than 19,000 of us work at over 40 care locations across south-east Melbourne, including seven hospitals and an extensive network of rehabilitation, aged care, community health and mental health facilities.


We are now looking for an experienced, pragmatic professional to join our team in a permanent full time role.While the role is based at Kingston, our team is currently working predominantly from home. These arrangements will be periodically reviewed and may change subject to environmental factors.


About the Role


This role will be responsible for supporting People and Culture professionals and line management to deliver best practice employee relations outcomes. Working with key internal and external stakeholders, you will develop and implement employee and industrial relations strategies driven by and consistent with the strategic direction of the Employee Relations team and People and Culture within Monash Health. Your specific responsibilities will include:



  • Delivering accurate, pragmatic and timely employee relations advice

  • Acquiring and sustaining a deep knowledge of applicable enterprise agreements and relevant legislation and case law, and their application to Monash Health

  • Reviewing and maintaining People & Culture policies and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance with industrial obligations

  • Implementation of enterprise agreements including internal (line management, Payroll and IT) and external stakeholder liaison

  • Conducting workplace investigations and reviews

  • Assisting in workplace disputes and matters before the Fair Work Commission


About You


You are a passionate employee relations professional with significant experience in a complex, multi-site environment and/or a highly regulated industry. With experience in interpreting and providing advice on legislation, case law and enterprise agreements, you have also conducted workplace investigations and implemented enterprise agreements.


Your demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing and negotiation skills will support your ability to succeed in this busy, varied role.


What you need



  • An undergraduate qualification in Law, Employee/Industrial Relations and/or Human Resources Management

  • Current motor vehicle driver’s licence


Postgraduate studies in a relevant field are highly desirable.
