About us

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation response, including:

  • Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers
  • Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has mandated that all returning overseas travellers arriving in Victoria must go into mandatory quarantine for 14 days from the day of their arrival to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, CQV is responsible for the operation of Victoria's Emergency Accommodation program for community members and their close contacts who have tested positive for COVID-19 and where an assessment has concluded that there are no other suitable alternative accommodation options for self-isolation.

Infection control and prevention is the primary objective of the mandatory quarantine and emergency accommodation programs.

About the role

The internal recruitment team within CQV partners closely with our stakeholders with the aim of delivering a seamless and customer centric end-to-end recruitment service. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, we are seeking a VPS5 Recruitment & Attraction Consultant to join our team on a fixed term basis until the 30th of November 2021.
In this newly created role you will be accountable for two main areas, including:

Recruitment Business Partnering – this involves the direct management of Senior Level vacancies within CQV. Further, you will be expected to provide leadership to the broader recruitment team across recruitment projects and activities ranging from sourcing, screening, short-listing, interviewing, reference checking, offer management and outcome advice.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • At least 5 years' end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally within the VPS or similar environment. Knowledge of the VPS policy and guidelines would be highly advantageous.
  • A sound understanding of employment marketing, candidate attraction, proactive sourcing, and/or candidate experience.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, in particular the ability to develop high quality written materials such as advertisements and strategy documents.
  • Strong problem solving skills coupled with the ability to think creatively.
  • Demonstrated subject matter knowledge and professional experience in designing, implementing, and coordinating various recruitment selection tools and methodologies (e.g. end-to-end recruitment, executive recruitment, graduate and internship programs).
  • Previous experience working with Springboard (desirable).
