About the role

This role will effectively partner with Ventia Sectors to facilitate sustainable employee health and injury management outcomes.

Utilise your extensive experience and knowledge to lead and mentor the Health & Injury Management partners on a national basis - providing support to local sites and operations to implement injury management initiatives and co-ordinate rehabilitation, return to work and workers compensation claims activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Health & Injury Management Team to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance licence requirements
  • Provide specialist advice and consultation with sector leaders and shared services colleagues to achieve optimal health & injury management outcomes for employees
  • Develop effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders including sector leaders, site management teams, shared services colleagues, and external service partners.
  • Provide support and oversight of business unit implementation of early intervention and health programs, injury management activities for injured workers and management of employee and workplace wellbeing factors impacting safe work participation

Key Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Human Resources/Industrial Relations (HR/IR), or Safety
  • Experience with multi-state legislation regarding workers compensation, safety and/or employment relations
  • Significant consulting and relationship management skills - delivering positive project outcomes
  • Extensive experience and knowledge working across various workers compensation policies on a state and federal base level
