The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) is a not for profit, membership-based organisation leading the way in surgical performance, professionalism and patient care in Australia and New Zealand.

With service to our members at the forefront of our business, we support ongoing learning and development for our surgical workforce of more than 7,000 surgeons and 1,300 surgical trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates.

The Role (0.8 or Full-time)

Reporting to the Executive General Manager- People & Culture this role leads and coordinates all recruitment activity as well as the onboarding of new employees. With a newly developed “RACS Ready” program you will have the opportunity to drive positive employee engagement by supporting employees to move through our 12-month onboarding journey. This role will also give you the opportunity to develop and coordinate new employee engagement/experience strategies as well as revitalise our recruitment processes and practices.

Our team values innovation and creativity and sees this role as a unique opportunity to take RACS employee and engagement and recruitment practices to the next level.

Your positive approach and exceptional relationship building skills will be key to your success as will experience in:

  • Managing end to end recruitment including HR or recruitment systems
  • Resolving a variety of people and culture enquiries from employees
  • Employment contract administration
  • Building capability in people leaders
