As the Senior Manager, Psychological Health,Safety and Injury Management, you will be responsible across the two critical areas:


Psychological Health & Safety

You will lead the new psychological health and safety function, with a focus on providing expertise and advice to influence sustainable and measurable improvement in the prevention and mitigation of psychological health and safety risk, management of our obligations and design of our WHS strategy.


Injury Management and Return to Work

Lead the design of our early intervention, injury management and return to work services for employees with work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, with the goal of achieving timely, efficient and sustainable return to work outcomes.


Your impact will be seen by:

  • Providing leadership and expert advice to key internal stakeholders predominantly in relation to psychological health & safety risks, issues and requirements.
  • Leading the design, development and implementation of a Firm-wide Early Intervention and Injury Management Framework.
  • Actively planning and providing authoritative analysis, specialist knowledge, expertise and advice on current trends, research and evidence to influence improvement in relation to organisational psychological health & safety risk.
  • Overseeing and contributing to the development, delivery and evaluation of psychological health & safety risk initiatives and training programs.
  • Analysing workplace data including surveys & organisational design to assist with understanding change management and psychological hazard identification processes. Developing and implementing PwC policy, procedures and processes to facilitate early intervention, reasonable adjustments, injury management services and quality return to work programs.
  • Managing and monitoring the firm’s workers compensation premium by monitoring premium triggers, monitoring premium impacting claims, participating in insurer claim review meetings, and communicating premium forecasts and trends to key internal stakeholders.


About you 
  • You are an experienced professional, with a background in Psychology, who wants to make a difference. Your communication and organisational skills are exemplary.
  • You possess an accredited postgraduate qualification/degree in Psychology, and have expertise in one or more of the following areas: organisational, behavioural, social or cognitive psychology.
  • You have demonstrated experience in psychosocial risk management with a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for workplaces.
  • You have the ability to develop innovative solutions in a complex environment and work proactively to resolve issues.
  • You have a minimum 8 years’ experience in injury case management including management of insurance premiums and reporting on key performance indicators and other measures.
