The Organisational Development and Insights Lead creates innovative, future-focussed, diverse and inclusive people solutions at Beyond Blue to maximise individual, team and organisational potential. 

The role has custodianship for Beyond Blue’s values and behaviours, strategic workforce planning, capability framework, performance and development review frameworks, career pathways, succession planning, sourcing and advising on learning and development and leadership interventions. It will use a human centred design approach to determine and structure the appropriate responses for capability development in line with the organisation's future workforce needs to deliver community value and engage the workforce to the organisational strategy.

This role has accountability for integrating diverse and inclusive people initiatives across the enterprise and generating valuable workforce insights and analytics to inform people priorities and improve productivity. It will deliver value through a deep understanding of the people levers to drive change both strategically and operationally. Levers include performance and career management, leadership, employee engagement and workforce planning.

  • Custodian of Beyond Blue’s Workforce Strategy
  • Custodian of Beyond Blue’s Training and Development Strategy
  • Custodian of Beyond Blue’s Performance Planning process
  • Custodian of Beyond Blue’s Development Planning process
  • Custodian of the Beyond Blue’s Values and associated behaviours
  • Custodian and Champion of D&I initiatives in attraction and sourcing of talent
  • Custodian of Beyond Blue’s Induction Program (Belonging)
  • Management of relationships with educational institutions locally and globally
  • Management of Beyond Blue’s internship and work experience programs
  • Management of Beyond Blue’s relationship with national and international Leadership education Institutions
  • Subject matter expert and advisor to Head of P&C, P&C Leadership Team, P&CBP’s, Chiefs and CEO on all matters OD, workforce strategy and analytics.
  • Custodian of ELMO training modules including customisation where appropriate.
  • Compliance training monitoring
  • Regular workforce insights reporting
  • Develop and implement best practice and contemporary solutions, programs and interventions.
  • Integrating OD processes, policies and frameworks to align people to the organisational strategy
  • Special people projects as requested by the Head of P&C.

Qualifications and Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Psychology, Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Solid understanding of Fair Work Australia legislation
  • Willingness to commit to and work in line with the Beyond Blue Values
  • 10 years + Psychology/Human Resources experience
  • Demonstrated capability to create and lead strategic organisational development initiatives including but not limited to leadership, talent, organisational capability, culture, performance planning and management, inclusion & diversity and change and transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse the market, scan emerging research and best practise and identify opportunities, insights to develop OD initiatives, practices, and programs that aligned with the strategic priorities
  • Experience in developing workforce analytics and reporting frameworks
  • Solid project and change management experience enabling translation of strategy into tactical and operational projects and initiatives
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Confident in leading, aligning and motivating in fast-paced settings requiring immediate results
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with success influencing and educating
  • Proven ability to implement programs to drive development and engagement across an organisation
  • Proficiency in the use of ELMO
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills with high level of numeracy and a record of lateral thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience in preparation of reports for senior management, Committees and Boards
  • Track record in delivering successful OD projects and supporting major organisational change; influencing, building and sustaining relationships in order to achieve results 
  • Experience of, and commitment to, continuous organisational improvement and the ability to act as a change agent.
