The Role

Due to an internal move, we are seeking a new Learning & Development Specialist to partner with the business and identify and deliver on learning initiatives critical to people and culture development. This 12 month fixed-term contract role will involve strategic, tactical and operational responsibility in relation to learning requirements. You will work within our broader Learning & Development team to address key operations challenges and projects whilst playing a pivotal role in how we design, build and deliver learning to our people.

Learning solutions will be aligned to organisational capability building and major change initiatives, working closely within customer-aligned squads to deliver on our employee and customer promise and to achieve business outcomes. You’ll consult with and influence stakeholders leveraging any number of different modalities to solve for their KPI’s. You’ll also work with HR Business Partners, business leaders, people managers, new starters and other support functions to create a truly blended digital learning environment.

Reporting to the Learning Operations Lead, you’ll help deliver agile and fit for purpose learning solutions and champion contemporary and innovative approaches to learning. These interventions will be aligned to the enterprise Learning strategy and Australian Unity’s purpose, values and strategic priorities.

Our ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications in Learning, Education and/or Training coupled with experience scoping, developing, delivering and evaluating learning solutions across multiple business contexts.
Hands-on experience in instructional design, utilization of instructional technologies and the ability to storyboard.
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Demonstrated ability and experience in the design of learning and capability programs and interventions using multiple modalities (online, face to face and blended).
Ideally, knowledge of course development software - Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia and Learning Management Systems.
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
Effective stakeholder management in complex environments.
