Job description: About the role
Reporting to the People and Capability (P&C) General Manager of Transport, this opportunity ensures that human resources (HR) and employee relations (ER) systems are effectively implemented and meet operational requirements. 
The P&C Business Partner is a capability-based role with a focus on strategic support, as well as responsible for delivering effective support, advice, and coordination in line with Company policies/procedures and legislation across the suite of HR functions. 
We are seeking a suitable candidate with strong coaching skills and stakeholder management to manage a variety of high-profile contracts within Ventia's Transport Sector.

What you’ll be doing
* Provide information, support and advice to managers, functional managers, and supervisors in line with Company policies/procedures and legislation
* Support and implement corporate HR initiatives across the Sector. 
* Provide HR advice and input to development of expressions of interest, due diligence and tenders for new business opportunities as directed.
* Support line leaders during Enterprise Agreement negotiations, as an advisor for major EAs, or a lead negotiator for agreements from time to time. 
* Support line leaders with Fair Work matters including vetting responses, attending conciliations, or attending hearings from time to time.
* Conduct investigations into policy breaches or improper conduct.
* Provide advice and support regarding the Company’s EEO processes. 
* Develop, coordinate, and deliver training in support of company policy, process and improvement.
* Support and conduct Performance Management with Line Manager

About you
* You have tertiary qualification in Human Resources 
* Minimum 5 years experience in a HR role & 2-3 years experience in Business Partnering role, in a similar environment
* Strong knowledge and experience in Employee Relations, Employment Law and Industrial Relations
* Experience in Transport or Civil Engineering Sector is desirable 
* Demonstrated experience in a mobilisation
