As the Senior Consultant People for the Qantas Freight portfolio, you will work with business leaders to ensure the growth, development and engagement of our people. You will do this through providing leadership and working on initiatives to drive both the business and People and Culture strategy. You will also design, implement and embed strategic Group People and Culture programs and initiatives to deliver organisational capability.


Your main responsibilities will include


  • Providing autonomous People leadership and business partnering across a number of diverse teams;
  • Supporting change and transformation initiatives, leveraging skills and experience in organisational design, change management and employee relations;
  • Talent management and succession planning to identify capability gaps and risks, and partnering with the business to build capability for now and the future;
  • Driving a high performance culture through coaching, influencing and mentoring; and
  • Using data and analysis to highlight people priorities and build cases for change.


What you’ll bring to the role:


  • Demonstrated business partnering and coaching skills with the ability to develop effective leaders and teams;
  • Experience working with and supporting operational business units is preferred, particularly with exposure to industrial relations activities and Enterprise Agreements;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong resilience with previous experience in managing change and transformation programs;
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources or a related discipline;
  • Proven ability to use analytical thinking to solve complex problems; and
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.
