About the Role
Hastings Deering is recruiting a Remuneration Specialist to be based at our Brisbane Acacia Ridge Office. This is a 12-month Fixed Term role reporting to the Remuneration and Benefits Manager. We are also offering the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the Workday HRIS across Sime Darby Berhad, our parent company. We are looking for someone with impeccable work ethics who is adaptable and flexible and is willing to join our small team delivering remuneration advice to support Hastings Deering and our associated entities under Sime Darby Industrial across Australasia.

The key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:

Subject Matter Expert supporting our leaders and work with the People team to provide advice and guidance for all salaried employees
Undertake research, modelling and analysis & make recommendations to assist the business in managing reward
Deliver job evaluations to ensure consistence and alignment to the grading framework
Lead and manage the annual salary end of year process and performance incentive program
Manage and promote employee benefits
Manage the day to day activities such as approval of contract offers, grading and banding of roles, payment of allowances while maintaining the integrity of remuneration data records
Support reporting and analytical activities related to the remuneration framework
Assist in the ongoing development of remuneration strategies and policies

About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

3 - 5 years’ experience in remuneration within a large business
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use own initiative to seek information to find an outcome
Knowledge and experience in the application of market practices, survey industry submissions, employment taxes, legislation, and job evaluation techniques. Develop, set, review and/or revise remuneration and benefits policies, trends and statistics.
