Manager - HR Business Partners

Being an integral member of our People & Culture Leadership team and reporting to the Director, People & Culture, we are looking for an experienced people leader to lead our HR Business Partner team on a permanent, full time basis (Immediate Start)

You will lead a team of HR Business Partners who each partner with a portfolio of managers across WMQ to create a high-performing and collaborative culture that strives to deliver the business objectives and strategy through by planning, championing and execution of people initiatives in a sustainable manner. You will also have your own (smaller) portfolio of managers with whom you will provider HR business partnering services.

You will also be responsible for providing leading-edge consulting and advisory services on all aspects of the employee life cycle while working closely with the wider People & Culture team to ensure optimum employee engagement.

In this role you will undertake contemporary HR/IR generalist service and advice provision to Managers, Employees and other Stakeholders at both a strategic and operational level.
You will also receive either a Motor Vehicle or Allowance as part of this role in line with our WMQ Motor Vehicle Policy.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Requirements:
Essential:
Relevant HR, or equivalent tertiary qualifications with previous experience working in a HRBP or Specialist role with exposure to strategic and operational responsibilities. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.
Experience a in leading a team of HR professionals, providing advice, coaching, development with an unrelenting focus on delivering on the expectations of our internal customers.
Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills (including influencing, interviewing, counselling, negotiating, networking, and report writing) as well as the ability to build collaborative and effective working partnerships.
Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations and Employment Relations policies and demonstrated experience accurately interpreting a range of Legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements to provide high quality and pragmatic advice.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders during the performance management process including staff, managers, industrial unions, Fair Work Commission to achieve resolution of complex intra organisational conflict.
Collaborate effectively with other HR Business Partners as part of a high performing team to ensure consistency of recommendations and support across WMQ.
Ability to use and/or learn the Microsoft Office suite and HR related systems especially with regards to their reporting capabilities.
Well-developed organisational skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
Experience in the Mercer Salary Grading system highly regarded.
