About us
 
Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) is responsible for the overall regulatory framework across liquor, registered clubs and gambling activities in NSW. L&GNSW's responsibilities include investigative, compliance, enforcement and licensing functions, as well as providing policy advice, program evaluation and executive support to the NSW Government.

About the role
 
An Investigator is responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks in support of complex and sensitive investigations into regulated entities in the areas of liquor, gaming, racing, wagering as well as the casino. An investigator will be required to apply appropriate investigative methodology and techniques in the undertaking of investigations. An investigator will also take part in operational deployments and field activities as required. 

The role reports to the Manager Investigations.

There are multiple vacancies and successful applicants will be assigned to either the Liquor & Gaming NSW Investigations Team or the Casino Investigations Unit, which is a specialist area focusing on casino regulation and enforcement. 

About you 

To be considered for this role you will have some investigative experience, including completing investigation outcome reports and reports recommending appropriate enforcement action. You should have demonstrated experience undertaking a range of investigative and compliance related activities in a sensitive and complex environment. You will be competent in prioritising your day to day workload and competing priorities. 

The successful applicants will be required to meet legislative and probity requirements to be appointed as an Inspector.
