The Senior Learning and Development Specialist role is an exciting 12-month max term opportunity in our Employee Experience team based at our Perth CBD office.

The purpose of this role is to ensure training design & delivery meets Synergy’s strategic needs to build skills and capabilities across the organisation.

Your Key Accountabilities Include

  • Implementing and maintaining a Learning and Development strategy to ensure that workforce technical skill, future capabilities and digital learning methods/programs are managed and enhanced.
  • Designing and developing learning interventions aligned to Synergy’s strategic direction, to build skills and capabilities across the organisation.
  • Providing expert guidance to business stakeholders to ensure training initiatives are fit for purpose, aligned with the T&D Standard, meet corporate objectives, and deliver maximum return on investment.
  • Facilitating L&D programs such as inductions and capability workshops.
  • Managing and monitoring the utilisation of external training providers and consultants
Ideal Attributes
  • Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or relevant field) or equivalent of 7-10 years on the job experience in senior training or L&D roles
  • Experience in the training design & delivery, including blue collar training, with a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, Vocational Education & Training, and the Australian Qualifications Framework.
  • Experience in developing L&D pathways for profession/corporate workforce aligned to organisational competency frameworks, and 70:20:10.
  • Superior consulting skills with the ability to build stakeholder relationships, influence decision making and lead change; and
  • The ability to analyse data from people and other sources and be creative with solutions that enhance the employee experience.
