About Us
Arrow Energy is an integrated coal seam gas (CSG) company, which develops gas fields, produces and sells CSG and generates electricity.

We have safely and sustainably developed CSG since 2000 and supplied it commercially since 2004 – for industrial use and power generation in northern Queensland, and for generation and the east coast gas market in the south.

Our corporate office is in Brisbane’s CBD, and we operate in the Bowen Basin in central Queensland, and in the Surat Basin in southern Queensland, where we are starting a major new development which is planned to bring about five trillion cubic feet of reserves to market over 27 years.

Arrow is owned by two of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, Shell and PetroChina.

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an IM Specialist/Business Partner to join our team.

The Role
Reporting to the Information Management & Business Partner Manager, you will support and manage the core IM systems that provide up-to-date and accurate information for safe operations and build successful partnerships with key stakeholders (internal, contractors & vendors) to align ICT activities with business objectives.

This is a Brisbane based position and may require occasional travel to our field operations within QLD as required, with plenty of notice.

In addition you will:

  • Actively support Arrow’s commitment to occupational health, safety and the environment;
  • Ensure accessibility of information for end users’ by developing best practice and fit for purpose knowledge and information management solutions, including designing Information Management (IM) architecture, specifying necessary system integrations, developing processes and driving implementations.
  • Identify fit-for purpose IM solutions by evaluating how Arrow employees and customers access business knowledge, the reasons they need it and the tasks they are trying to perform while using it and combining this knowledge with emerging technology trends and innovations in the market and leveraging this to identify targeted solutions.
  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units by partnering with stakeholders and developing a robust understanding of stakeholder processes, pain points and insights.
  • Promote IM opportunities and projects by proactively sharing knowledge of risks and opportunities and developing communication plans to improve effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Maintain ICT governance and standards by establishing effective vendor relationships, creating and updating documentation, participating in assurance activities, identifying and managing risks and troubleshooting issues.


About You
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Proven experience within an Information Management role within the resources (oil & gas/mining) sector.
  • Proven skills in stakeholder engagement/relationship management, Requirements Analysis and Solution/Process Design.
  • Experience with developing IM Standards including development of Engineering Class Library.
  • Understanding of Document Control Processes and experince working with the definition and management of these standard, processes and procedures.
  • Exeperince working with Management of Change (Moc) processes.
  • Experience working with engineering design contractors on a regular basis to coordinate data handover.
  • Experience managing external consultants and vendors and driving performance.
  • Experience with Report/Dashboard Development using tools such as (PowerBi, Crystal reports.
  • Experience with SAP is desirable, but not mandatory.
