The Role


Reporting to the Group Manager, People & Culture, you will be responsible for managing a national resourcing function, developing and delivering resourcing strategy, workforce planning and managing our remuneration policy and process.

You will manage a dedicated team of resourcing professionals in the delivery of resourcing outcomes, stakeholder management, systems and process and provide remuneration advice on position design, evaluation and benchmarking as well as facilitate the annual remuneration review process.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to our goal of Zero Harm to personnel, equipment and the environment;
  • Manage and lead resourcing professionals in the delivery on resourcing outcomes, stakeholder management, systems and process;
  • Work closely with our senior and executive leadership team to understand current and future operational requirements;
  • Manage all resourcing tools, systems and processes;
  • Work in conjunction with our People Analytics & Systems Specialist on market position, trends and data driven decision making;
  • Provide analytical and other professional level support to the remuneration and benefits areas for Bis;
  • Provide rem survey input for remuneration agencies (e.g. Korn Ferry Hay Group, Mercer, AON);
  • Administer the annual remuneration and STIP process review;
  • Provide guidance and advice in relation to position description and job design;
  • Assist in the governance of the remuneration framework
  • Train management team in remuneration and benefits processes and policy
  • Provide tender recommendations for pay rates and remuneration

About You


  • Degree qualification in Commerce (major in HR and or ER/IR) and or Science/Art (Major Psychology) regarded
  • Experience managing resourcing or remuneration function within large blue collar workforce
  • Strong experience in administering and managing remuneration processes for medium to large organisation
  • Certification in Korn Ferry Hay Group – Job Evaluation methodology and/or Mercer methodology would be highly regarded
  • Experience working with senior and executive leadership teams
