JOB DESCRIPTION

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of best-practise Human Resources Management programs and initiatives. The position will have a large focus on providing advice, support and assistance to the organisational leadership team and employees across the full range of HRM functions.

This position is responsible for leading and coaching a small HR team and works in close collaboration with the Executive Manager of People and Culture.

Reporting to the Executive Manager of People and Culture, responsibilities of this role include:

  • Contribution to the development, review and continuous improvement of HRM strategy, programs, plans, policies and initiatives
  • Working closely with Execs and Senior Managers to monitor employee and industrial relations practices to ensure they comply with requirements under the Enterprise Agreement and applicable employment-related legislation and regulations
  • Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with employee representatives, employee associations and unions, and other key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, review and continuous improvement of the Workforce Management Plan
  • Support the development and improvement of Training & Development initiatives
  • Work in close consultation and collaboration with Executive of People and Culture, employees and external stakeholders to ensure approved organisational changes are implemented effectively
  • Ensures the health, safety and well being of workers and other persons under their management and control in the workplace


Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience being involved in a strategic HR function within a complex customer-facing business environment
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a multi-functional organisation
  • Ability to engage, partner with and influence Managers with advanced consultation skills
  • Experience building a high-performing culture through trusted relationships and coaching capability at all levels
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary HRM & WHS practices
  • Excellent communication ability both written and verbal
