The Role

We have an exciting opening for a Chief Human Resources Officer ANZ to join our leadership team based in Alexandria, Sydney.

This position is an outstanding opportunity to play a significant role in the ANZ leadership team partnering and contributing to critical decision making. You will have the help and support of a great team of Human Resources, Payroll, and Work Health & Safety Professionals.

We are looking for a team player who is a passionate and caring people leader with a proven track record of success across all human resource disciplines including culture & talent development, workforce planning, industrial relations, remuneration and benefits, organisational development, performance, workplace safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Aligns with the Global Strategy to successfully implement across ANZ
  • Responsible for succession planning and implementation of all global strategies and execution of the people related activities for ANZ
  • Work closely with Leaders and HR partners to align HR projects and key processes whilst driving and analysing results to ensure objectives are met
  • Utilise your professional expertise to advise and coach leaders and present tailored solutions
  • Champion & lead change management and employee engagement strategies to ensure success
  • Responsible for WH&S policies across the organisation and communicating to senior leadership team the obligations and risks associated
  • Initiates and is responsible for the recommendation and implementation of the organisation employee and industrial relations policy and procedures, advises senior management on implications of industrial action
  • Overall responsibility for Awards and Conditions of Employment

Competencies, Skills, and Previous Experience required:

  • Chief, Director level or General Manager HR experience is essential
  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in human resources, psychology, business
  • Proven ability to influence and contribute tactically and strategically
  • Focussed on Inclusive relationships and leading by example
  • Powerful coaching skills, teambuilding and influencing are essential
  • The ability to partner and communicate at all levels
  • A proven background in Organisational Development
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and authorities which impact on your area of responsibility
