As a result of growth within the People & Culture team, we have an opportunity has for a Senior Rostering and Workforce Advisor to join the team based in our corporate office in Newstead, Brisbane.


About the role:


Reporting to the Group Manager - People Systems & Performance, you'll ensure that stakeholders are supported in optimising their operational rosters, through the use of our workforce management tool HumanForce and best practices.

In this role you will provide practical and actionable Workforce Management advice to Rostering Managers, Team Leaders and Administrators.


Some of your responsibilities will include:


  • Maintain a supreme knowledge of the Aged Care Modern Award, Nurses Modern Award and both Collective Agreements in place, including the company's interpretation and application.
  • Work with Rostering Managers to ensure the integrity of their Master and Operational/Published rosters to comply with award/collective agreement and employment contractual requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve the commercial outcomes of communities through rostering optimisation by monitoring and providing advice on rosters to the business
  • Guide Managers on the documentation and consultation requirements to manage permanent and temporary working pattern changes
  • Lead the Workforce Performance Roundtable forum bringing together the Operations and Group Management team that oversee all Rostering Managers
  • Deliver regular education sessions based in identified operational issues from reporting sources and feedback from stakeholders
  • Take the opportunity in all engagements with HumanForce users at all levels to uncover or anticipate system, process, and application-based improvements, ensuring they are captured, communicated, and followed through


Some of the experience you'll need is:


  • Demonstrated experience in a workforce management role providing advice on payroll, rostering and workforce compliance/development
  • Previous experience in a system administration role (desirable)
  • Experience in using people systems to extract meaningful insights for stakeholders
  • Experience in training and coaching delivery, as well as identifying individual or group based skills deficiencies
  • Ability to deliver professional, structured training/coaching/consulting, using various online and face to face delivery methods, in groups and 1on1
  • Good foundation knowledge of the NES and the mechanics of modern awards
  • Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill in all MS Office applications
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills - ability to manage diverse stakeholders in person, over the phone or via email
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Confidentiality, professionalism, honesty essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Commerce or related discipline
