Avivo is a leading community services organisation in Western Australia. We work closely with people and families who need individualised support services due to disability, ageing or mental ill-health.


The Recruitment Advisor position will support the HR Lead in ensuring Hiring Teams and candidates receive the best possible customer experience, and for delivering an exceptional end-to- end internal and external recruitment service to meet the needs of our customers, teams and colleagues.

This position is a newly created role that will be responsible for developing Avivo’s workforce strategy with our Recruitment Officers and delivers and implements innovative approaches to recruitment and engagement that both attract and retain colleagues. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing the employee journey through reviews of the candidate pathway, recruitment, onboard and offboarding processes
  • Establish, develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders and recruitment and HR team to ensure clarity of strategy and the translation of this into an effective recruitment strategy
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues’ in recruitment procedures and processes
  • Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies aligned with Avivo’s strategic objectives
  • Review existing recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes and seek continuous improvement to enhance the employee experience
  • Develop relationships with Recruitment Agencies, job matching providers, Universities and Tafes as well as diversity related agencies including DES providers and Indigenous Employment Agencies
  • Review, monitor and ensure compliance with industry and funding regulations as well as legislation
  • Collaborating with leaders to understand business workforce plans and hiring requirements and ensuring sourcing strategies meet the business needs
  • Utilising reports and analysis of recruitment activities as a basis for continuous improvement in stakeholder relationship by highlighting concerns/issues and providing appropriate recommendations
  • Provides regular pre-defined recruitment and sourcing key performance indicators, metrics and progress updates as required. 

What we require:

  • Previous experience in Recruitment Advisory/ Agency work (5 years at advisory level)
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and exposure to, recruitment and workforce retention processes and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in program delivery, with demonstrated planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
  • Highly-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Well developed written communication skills including experience with report writing and development of program assessment and evaluation tools.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email.
  • Cert IV in HR, Business or relevant discipline (desirable) or working towards a relevant qualification
  • Experience in Aurion software system (desirable)
