As an integral member of our supportive and respected People Team, the successful candidate will be well versed in HR Information Systems and will have a desire to create and deliver initiatives that foster strong employee engagement.

Reporting to the Director – People Team, you will act as a true trusted business partner to provide relevant, credible and timely operational HR support and advice on generalist HR matters to assist the business in achieving its objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure the most culturally aligned talent are introduced to the organisation
  • Deliver on the Employee Value Proposition by optimizing the candidate experience throughout Talent Acquisition efforts, driving the highest levels of engagement as new starters are onboarded.
  • Being the core support within the organization’s global HRIS implementation team as we transfer our systems to a new platform
  • Ensure that grievances, complaints, investigations, performance management and other ER matters are handled promptly and with sensitivity
  • Creatively construct Carnival Australia’s Learning & Development Calendar and Staff Engagement activities
  • Provide regular reports on key HR metrics, including Talent Acquisition related measures.

We need you to be a people-focused, self-starter who wants to work in an environment void of politics. You will be focused on getting things done, operating with tact and discretion and having a bit of fun along the way.

  • 4+ years’ recruitment experience, managing multiple vacancies across different disciplines and levels of seniority
  • 2+ years’ HR generalist experience
  • Experience in developing a variety of direct sourcing strategies
  • Experience working with an RMS system and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Exposure to Oracle systems (desired but not essential)
  • Intermediate to advanced capabilities in MS Office
  • Demonstrated understanding of industrial legislative requirements
  • Experience in preparing contracts and offers of employment
  • An excellent communicator who can tailor their style to their respective audience
  • A multi-tasker, who can juggle conflicting priorities
  • A genuine passion for people and helping them achieve their commercial objectives
  • Strong lateral thinking skills, with a proactive approach and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Most importantly….an unwavering passion for what you do!
