The Project

Parramatta Light Rail is a design and construct Rail project based in the Western Suburbs at a value of approximately $840M. The project will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia with a 12-kilometre, two-way track. This 50:50 joint venture with Downer includes construction of:

  • Light rail track, roadworks and stop platforms;
  • Transport interchanges at Westmead, Parramatta CBD and Carlingford; and
  • New light rail and pedestrian zones along Church and Macquarie Streets in the Parramatta CBD, and urban design.

About The Role

The HR Coordinator will be primarily responsible for supporting the wider HR team and will look after the following activities:
  • Assist with Recruitment
  • Support with performance related matters
  • Support investigations and disciplinary matters
  • Perform HR system transactions in Oracle HCM
  • Respond to general HR queries
  • Prepare all staff change approval forms
  • Prepare employment letters & on onboarding documentation
  • Run reports, uploading documents and entering employee data and changes to Oracle
  • Oversee the Project Employee Recognition Program
  • Manage monthly reporting as required
  • Manage HR and Project systems including Oracle HCM cloud, Damstra, Rover and RIW
  • Participate and provide support to other initiatives as required (Eg. Graduate program, Workforce planning)
  • Conduct regular audits on HR registers and organisational charts
  • Arrange staff travel and accommodation where needed
  • Manage the Projects offboarding process

About You
  • HR Diploma or a relevant Degree
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work well within a team and engage with all stakeholders
  • Knowledge in data and administrative management practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in business functions of word processing, spread sheet and email software
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work within challenging timeframes.
