    About The Role

    As an integral part of a growing Human Resources team, the primary purpose of this role is to work closely with key stakeholders to identify staffing requirements and recruit appropriate staff (including personal care workers, nurses, other site-based staff) to meet the changing care needs of customer and residents. Recruitment of staff will support resource requirements in all homes. The Talent Coordinator operates as part of an agile and fast-moving business and has a vital role to play in working to maximise all recruitment activity and related business opportunities as documented in approved workforce plans.

    Your duties will include
  • Work with the Talent BP to pro-actively develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet staffing requirements
  • Responsible for the end to end recruitment, selection and onboarding process for new staff
  • Contribute to workforce planning initiatives
  • Create social media campaigns and leverage other attraction levers to optimise the attraction of talent to Japara
  • Responsible to review and continually improve the recruitment processes as learnings are made
  • Create and maintain a talent pool of candidates for Japara
  • Operate according to Japara’s values, policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with organisation and regulatory requirements, including all aspects of workplace health and safety legislation applicable to the role
  • Adhere to all WHS regulations

  • About You

  • At least 4 years’ experience in recruitment & selection
  • Previous experience in aged care / health care essential
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent or studying towards a formal qualification is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience and success in end-to-end recruitment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated expertise in phone screening, reference checking and conducting interviews
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high volume recruitment with a focus on swiftly responding to identified customer needs
  • Demonstrated experience in positively engaging and influencing multiple stakeholders across all organisational levels
  • Ability to remain flexible, adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced working environment, responding positively to changing priorities and objectives
  • Well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft Office suite of programs and previous staffing database experience
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail with a focus on compliance
  • Reliable and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a confidential space and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and locations as required
  • Ability to meet and perform to the inherent requirements of the role
  • Satisfactory Police Check
  • Ability to work from home as required
  • Current Australian Driver’s license
