About the branch:
The focus of the People and Culture Branch is to develop and support a flexible, sustainable and equitable workforce management model, which is underpinned by the provision of appropriate, consistent and timely human resources strategies, services and processes. Working as a Business Partner for the organisation, People and Culture provides advice, information and support to managers and employees that enable Parks Victoria to meet and exceed its workforce needs, aspiration and organisational wide workforce plans.

About the role and your responsibilities:
As the People and Culture Advisor, you will partner with senior managers, managers and employees to provide technical coaching, advice and support on the full suite of people management matters including performance development, case management of misconduct and grievance processes, change management, dispute resolution, interpretation and application of relevant legislation and industrial instruments, workforce planning and recruitment.

Reporting through to the Manager People Services in this true generalist role, you will partner with specific portfolios and management teams and leverage their knowledge of the business to formulate high quality, creative, commercially viable, pragmatic, practical and robust people management solutions designed to achieve positive organisational outcomes and mitigate risk. You will also use tools, guidelines and specialist advice from subject matter experts across the broader People and Culture Directorate to ensure a consistent approach is achieved across the organisation. You will be working cohesively with the People and Culture team to ensure consistent and streamlined approaches to coaching, supporting and solutions to management is provided.

To be successful for this role you will need:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business or equivalent is desirable.
Extensive experience in HR Business Partnering and the provision of expert and technical human resources advice and support across the employee lifecycle, including performance management, employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning and recruitment.
Demonstrated stakeholder management experience.
A current Employee Working with Children Check is required.
