We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources (HR) Business Partner to join the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This role is required to support the RTA in aligning our business objectives with HR best practice. This position is a 12-month temporary, full time contract covering a period of maternity leave, and is located in the Brisbane CBD.

The RTA is a self-funded, state government statutory authority that provides tenancy information and support, bond management, dispute resolution, investigation, and education services to Queenslanders. RTA's vision is “Renting that works for everyone”.

The RTA administers the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (the Act). The RTA works with all sector groups including tenants, property managers and owners, community and industry stakeholder groups and the Queensland Government.

To Be Successful You Will Need

  • Demonstrated ability managing complex employee relations issues by conducting thorough and objective investigations;
  • Proven experience partnering with various stakeholders across the business to promote HR business partnering and best practice;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to identify and drive the continual improvement of HR processes;
  • The ability to work under pressure within a high-functioning team in an environment of competing priorities and demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within strict deadlines;
  • Proven experience providing accurate, timely, and professional advice based on current Directives, legislation, HR policies and procedures; and
  • Demonstrated experience in GRTW case management and coaching leaders on performance management best practice will be highly regarded.
