JOB DESCRIPTION

Quickway Constructions Pty Ltd are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. Role will be based at our head office in Silverwater, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and coordination of the human resource and workplace relation functions of the business.

Tasks and Duties:

  • Full function recruitment (from advertising through to employment contracts and company induction), and assisting other managers in applying appropriate recruitment processes
  • Drafting, maintaining, reviewing and revising of position descriptions in consultation with relevant managers
  • Management of employee discipline, performance management, termination of staff, etc.
  • Manage employee grievances and resolving issues appropriately
  • Coordinate and control the development of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, and provide advice and guidance to the business on same
  • Manage team of T&D Coordinators and Resource Allocators
  • Assisting team members with training and resourcing tasks where required
  • Negotiation, interpretation, and implementation of Employment Contracts and Enterprise Agreements
  • Liaising with external counsel and seeking specialist advice where required
  • Other HR/IR-related tasks which are reasonably expected of the role

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate an above average level of knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Superior level of written and verbal communications
  • Tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree level) in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, labour laws, and industrial relations

Salary: $75,000 + super
