The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our People Team as a Reward and People Analytics Consultant based in our Melbourne office for a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of key performance and reward initiatives (cyclical and project) and supporting and enabling evidence based, data driven people decisions across MLC Life Insurance’s talent ecosystem through the provision of workforce insights and analytics to support the achievement of business objectives.


You will be responsible for:


  • Delivery of key Performance, Reward & Analytics projects and initiatives as required, providing consultation, analysis, data interpretation.


  • The planning and delivery of our annual performance and reward cycle and processes, ensuring the delivery of reward operations services meets both reward calendar milestones and internal business unit measurements of success.


  • Maintaining internal workforce data and reporting and partnering with other departments to ensure consistency in all definitions.


  • Supporting data analysis capability development across the People team to better enable evidence based and data driven business partnering.


  • Supporting the delivery of various employee recognition and benefits initiatives and operational requirements for the business.


About You

The successful candidate is a Reward and People Analytics professional with 3 + years’ experience (ideally financial services industry) with knowledge of all aspects of Broad-Based Compensation including Performance and Reward frameworks, annual remuneration processes, market analysis, salary survey submissions and sound knowledge of the regulation and law applicable to remuneration and benefits.


You will have excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills. You will have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel and are confident in troubleshooting macros, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups, and the use of Power Query (M Function).


Your technical capability includes HRIS systems and Microsoft Power BI with proven experience developing visual dashboards. You also have a general understanding of basic programming (i.e. SQL, DAX, M, VBA) language.
