The Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join the McCullough Robertson team, based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, and working closely with the team members across HR in Brisbane and Sydney, this position is responsible for providing core operational HR advice to the business. In this role you will be responsible for a range of human resources programs and initiatives designed to support the firm in building and developing the workforce it needs to achieve its strategic business objective.

  • Drive the attraction and recruitment strategy for the business working closely with the recruitment team to build brand and best practice selection processes across our business;
  • Provide guidance and leadership to other members of the Human Resources team on all operational HR matters and queries; and
  • Utilise key commercial indicators to maximise performance and opportunities for growth across teams.



We are looking for someone who can add to the culture of the HR team and to the firm through their drive and enthusiasm.

Experience

The successful candidate will have at least seven years of human resource experience, with a minimum of two years gained in a professional services or legal services environment.

  • a degree in Human Resources or related discipline;
  • proven track record in leading teams creating opportunities for growth and development;
  • an appreciation of the contemporary human resource issues currently confronting organizations including the skills shortage, work life balance considerations and generational issues etc.;
  • an understanding of the essential elements of an effective workforce design and employee experience principles;
  • influencing skills with the ability to coach and make an impact to those recognised leaders;
  • strong desire to provide outstanding service to internal clients, including partners, managers and employees; and
  • a presence that demonstrates gravitas and competence.
