We are growing our People team in Bella Vista, Sydney and we’ are looking for People Business Partners to join our 1) Product Development as well as 2) Manufacturing & Operations teams.

The role of the People Business Partner is to partner closely with the local leaders and our Centres of Excellence including Talent Acquisition and People Shared Services. As a natural change agent you will act as a catalyst for increased focus and capability in talent development, succession planning, workforce planning, employee engagement, employee wellness and performance management.

In your role, you are responsible for advising and coaching leaders, empowering them to enable their people to be the best they can be. As a Business Partner you’ll have two immediate teams - the team that you’ll business partner with and your local People team.

The team that you’ll business partner with who are passionate about their people, development, and value the perspective that the People team can bring to business challenges. Our teams have an engineering focus and are connected to the impact they have in helping to deliver superior patient outcomes. They balance this with ensuring that we all have fun and a laugh at work. Authenticity, a sense of humour and a growth mindset is integral to forming a successful partnership with this team.

Your local People team on the other hand is equally awesome! You’ll work within an incredibly supportive and diverse team, who will become your sounding board, and act as your 'go to people' when you need to bounce a few ideas. The best thing about this team is that they all roll up their sleeves to get the job done at the end of the day, no matter what their role is!

Let's talk about responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders to develop and create a People strategy to support the execution of Business Strategy through practical principles, and clear, realistic goals. Create and maintain relationships with leaders of all levels through regular, open conversations that support business outcomes.

  • Ensure during these conversations, rapport is established so that you can effectively challenge and encourage a growth mindset to facilitate the best outcome.

  • Advise and coach all level of Leaders across a wide range of employee relations issues. Provide practical and wise counsel (not HR ‘best’ practices or process for HR sake) to the business in relation to our talent (the organization, acquisition, development and retention of) and successfully influence and deliver strategies to meet business goals.

  • Coach and support leaders, acting as a sounding board, and constructive challenge as required

  • Provide advice and support according to our company’s Counselling Policy and Grievance and Disputes Handling Procedures.

  • Conduct factual investigations, informing leaders and employees of the legal implications of actions to be taken.

  • Participate in Talent Acquisition processes and work effectively with other Centre of Excellence People Team such as PSS, People Development, Mobility, etc on people related matters and maintain an excellent employee experience, to ensure we provide a best in class service.

Let’s talk Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline with at least 5 years of experience in HR business partnering and/or advisory role.

  • Previous experience in navigating and leveraging a matrix global organisation

  • Passion and/or prior experience working in environments that are related to engineering, technology, innovation or manufacturing
