Training Manager (AV5)


Ambulance Victoria's (AV) Transformation and Strategy Division is seeking a specialist Training Manager to plan and deliver the Change Management training elements of AV's ERP (Integrated Rosters and Claims Management) project which will transform the way AV manages demand. The project will provide an integrated ERP system which will deliver an enterprise-wide solution for rostering and claims management to support patient demand and workforce growth to deliver on the strategic plan. 

About the role

Reporting to the Change Manager, the role will develop, lead and implement an innovative training program for end users to support the introduction of the new UKG Dimensions system and manage training strategies and plans to build skills and knowledge required,

This role will provide you with the scope to; 

  • Develop and implement a structured contemporary training and development program to support the overall Change Management strategy.
  • Work with Business Stakeholders to plan and deliver tailored, innovative and effective solutions that are appropriate to the work patterns of impacted staff, and that fit within any advised resource constraints.
  • Foster and provide training and development support and advice to Program teams within the Transformation & Strategy division
  • Partner with the e-learning vendor to develop appropriate e-learning content
  • Oversee training development & delivery by Training Specialists; ensuring the team is mentored and supported
  • Track and report training progress and issues and risks to the Change Manager

About you

Utilising your significant Training Management background, having led and implemented training initiatives across large transformational change programs, you will bring with you the following; 

  • A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Training, Instructional Design, Communication (desirable)
  • Relevant experience in large scale, complex and transformational projects
  • Proven success in leading teams to deliver training plans
  • Experience in developing e-learning content in systems such as Articulate and working with e-learning vendors
  • Robust stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
  • Highly developed interpersonal and problem solving skills 

Willingness to travel throughout Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria for short periods of time if required.

AV has introduced salary bands, and this position is graded at AV5. The salary range for an AV5 position is $119,839 to $141,669 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade applicable to a position. 

The successful candidate will be required to make a Statutory Declaration and undertake an Australian National Criminal Check in conjunction with other pre-employment checks.
